1.  The deadline for O3C Open Challenge submissions is April 30th.  Send payments of $3.00 for each submitted image to a maximum of $30 by e transfer to ecctransfers@gmail.com the same way that you paid your membership fees. Members should also go to the OCCC website at www.o3c.ca for the Rules of Competition for 2022 version 22.1.  They are  the same as for 2021 with a new theme category, food and drink.  The rules are under the tab O3C-Competitions-2022 Open Challenge Competition.  A direct link is also on the email’s from ECC sent by Jocelyn until April 30th.  You can download the pdf file of the O3C rules. This year members will receive a form to use to enter a code for each image submitted which gives our club ID, your ID number, the category for the submission, the title of the image, and its number out of 12 possible submissions.  This form will be posted shortly. 

2.  Open Challenge 2021 HM certificates will be available at a drive-by along with the awards and medals.  Date to be announced.

3.  NFRCC ( Niagara Frontier Regional Camera Clubs) is having a competition called a Digital Salon which is open to any club.  You do not need to be a member of NFRCC to submit an image.  The deadline for submissions is April 15th, at a cost of $10.00 for ten images.  You must submit the photos yourself.  

This competition is not to be confused with the “friendly” competition between O3C and NFRCC for which O3C chooses which ones to submit from Open Challenge submissions.  You can watch this competition free of charge but must register.  Go to https://nfrcc.org for more information as their category rules are different from ECC’s in many instances.

4. Photo Trekker tours current updated information is available at https://phototourtrekkers.com/index.php/oc3-tours.  Full itinerary, prices and financing arrangements for 2022-23 is available for each tour.  The September 2022 tour to Kenya and Tanzania is a go with 15 already signed up.
