ETOBICOKE CAMERA CLUB 2024 OUTINGS

WHY

An opportunity to get together with like minded photographers and meet your fellow club members in a relaxed social environment. Great opportunity to learn more about your camera and techniques and learn from each other.

WHEN

Outings take place throughout the regular club season on a monthly basis from September 2024 through May 2025. We endeavour to provide a good mix of outings on weekends, evenings and/or on week days if a particular venue is only open during that time. Outings last for approximately 3 hours and we do meet for a coffee, breakfast or lunch afterwards at times.

Outings can be found on the “Outings” page of the website. We have a Facebook page dedicated to Club members where reminders are sent and photos from the outings shared. We encourage members to upload images taken during the outings which are featured in the ECC newsletter.

WHERE

Outings take place in the Greater Toronto area and further afield in Ontario. We try to keep in mind upcoming competition themes and marry the theme to the outing; i.e. Hamilton waterfall outing in Autumn for landscape images, Canadian Raptor Conservancy to capture nature photographs, outings to capture a specific holiday such as December outing to Wonderland.

Examples of past outings include Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory, Canada’s Wonderland, Casa Loma Holiday lighting, Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) Centennial Park Conservatory, Centre Island Sunset, Downtown Toronto Union Station area, Guild Park, Humber Bay sunrise, Kensington Market, Kitchen/Waterloo fall colours train ride, McLean’s Auto Wreckers, Rattray Marsh,Tasc Tulip Farm, Tough Mudder’s competition.

We have a mix of outings that require paid admission as well as free outings.

WHO

Club members only. Guests are welcome to join if space allows. (some outings have attendance caps such as the Canadian Raptors Conservancy.
